DAY 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara.
Pick up from your hotel at 7:30 am where you will start your safari to Masai Mara. The journey from Nairobi to Masai Mara is a popular and breathtaking adventure in Kenya, offering travelers the opportunity to experience the country's diverse landscapes and wildlife. The Masai Mara National Reserve is located approximately 180 to 280 kilometers (112 to 174 miles) southwest of Nairobi, depending on the specific route you take. The journey typically takes around 5 to 6 hours by road. Then proceed to Narok, a small Masai town well known for having the most beautiful souvenirs. Proceed to Masai Mara for lunch at the permanent tented camp/ Lodge, followed by an afternoon game viewing to see the many animals that inhabit this unique park. DAY 2: Masai Mara National Reserve
A full day in Masai Mara promises an exciting and immersive safari experience with diverse wildlife, stunning landscapes, and memorable activities. Your day begins with an early wake-up call, usually before sunrise. This is to maximize your chances of spotting wildlife when they are most active. After breakfast, you experienced Grayton Expedition driver guide will be waiting for you in your customized safari vehicle for a full day of adventure. This is an excellent time to witness predators on the hunt, as well as to see various herbivores like zebras, wildebeests, and giraffes. As the sun rises over the savannah, you'll have opportunities to spot the Big Five, which include lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinoceros. You may also see cheetahs, hyenas, and a wide range of bird species. If you visit during the Great Migration (usually from July to October), you might witness the dramatic river crossings of wildebeests and zebras at the Mara River. This is a spectacle you won't forget. Back at your accommodation, you'll have dinner, which is often a buffet or a set menu featuring both local and international cuisine. After a full day of adventure, you'll retire to your comfortable room or tent for a well-deserved night's rest, listening to the sounds of the African wilderness.
